In this work, resemblances of Caravaggio's “Young Sick Bacchus" permeate the composition. The lighting, reminiscent of Caravaggio's chiaroscuro technique, casts deep shadows that play across the scene, intensifying the mystery and intrigue. Although the pose may seem familiar, the look and behavior of the figure exude a disturbing quality, accentuated by the presence of horns. This suggests the seductive but dangerous appeal of the Devil.

Mutation“Hybrid realities"
Mutatio is a captivating artistic photographic collection that explores the profound concept of transformation through a series of fantastical, surreal and painterly images depicting hybrid creatures. This collection invites viewers into a fascinating world where the boundaries between species are blurred.
As viewers navigate the collection, they encounter beings both familiar and alien—creatures that spark both curiosity and introspection. Each photograph is a window into a world where transformation is not just a possibility, but a fundamental truth.
The title "Mutatio", derived from the Latin for "change", encapsulates the central theme of metamorphosis, and through these surreal amalgamations, the collection explores the fluidity of form.
At the heart of “Mutatio" is a meditation on the nature of change. By merging different elements, these images highlight the beauty and complexity of transformation, suggesting that identity is not fixed but constantly evolving.
With this collection, Deborah Zuanazzi invites viewers to embrace the fluidity of identity and the beauty of perpetual change; it pushes us to see the world with wonder and to recognize the potential for transformation in ourselves and in the world around us.
