Artist and photographer, Amrita Bilimoria’s work has been described as a fusion of effortless glamour, elegance, strength and power. For Amrita, the equestrian world has long held a special magic and energy, which translates into her creative vision. Her imagination, personal experiences and versatility, have given her a unique artistic viewpoint. Seamlessly weaving the contemporary with the classic, the photographs reflect her inimitable style and perspective on raw natural beauty and the equine form. Far from being flat and two-dimensional, they are charged with a live wire of vitality beneath the surface.
The composition of her work is simple, captivating and bold with a very particular attention to shape, movement and detail. Specific colour palettes are meticulously created to lend narrative and emotional impact to the photographs. Whether monochrome, muted in natural earthy hues or theatrical and vibrant, the use of colour in her work is nuanced and intentional.
Amrita’s art photography has been exhibited in the UK, France and Singapore. Her work is held in various private and corporate collections across the world.
Amrita has also created both written and image based content working to brief, with high end global clients and their creative teams for international campaigns in the luxury lifestyle sector. She has worked on tailored projects for family owned niche brands; and collaborated and worked with leading thoroughbred horse breeders, racing owners and trainers.
Her in-depth work on the thoroughbred racehorse, has been featured in a recently published coffee table book, collaborating with India’s preeminent thoroughbred breeding establishment.
