Stoul, born in 1981, became known from the age of twenty for her characters with cat faces. She very quickly developed her art and developed her style, gradually leaving the figurative to go towards a very personal semi-abstract geometry. Today she is recognized as a complete artist, identifiable at first glance.
On walls, large frescoes and in her studio, she handles lines, angles and the chromatic palette. She twists, kneads, breaks down the figurative base used in the genesis of the visual and ends up offering us a free reading with several entries: the more we observe his works, the more we discover angles of view, details, scenes. Thus the works interact differently with each person, each being able to develop their own vision.
Stoul is inspired by Asia, but his fascination with architecture is very much reflected in his work. Thus his series Oru refers directly to the art of origami, but it is also and perhaps above all the acronym for “Operation of urban renewal". The profound transformations of the city of which she is the witness are found in her treatment of lines, angles and in the general rendering of her works.
She is also an artist who is involved in causes close to her heart, in particular gender equality and socio-cultural actions. His performance of painting on the ground for the Nuit des Relais at the Grand Palais or the realization of a large 5-meter fresco on 30 rue Daviel in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, carried out in 2019 with young women from the neighborhood, are manifestations of this. outstanding. Its eco-responsible commitment is reflected on a daily basis in the choice of materials it uses.
A former student of the Boulle School, she likes to constantly question her work and does not hesitate to surprise her audience with each new cycle of her artistic creativity. She thus skilfully switches from 2D to 3D with her white mobile installations presented at the Cité Refuge (Le Corbusier building of the Salvation Army) in Paris 13th at the end of 2019.
Stoul collaborates with many municipal institutions and companies, both on private projects and open to the public such as the entrance to the parking lot of the Palais des Congrès in Le Mans in 2019. In 2018, she was one of the three artists selected by the Caisse d ' Savings to illustrate the payment cards published in limited series on the occasion of its bicentenary.
Among his major achievements, let us quote his majestic fresco in Villars-Fontaine, as part of the Street-art on the Roc festival in 2016, his 850m2 frescoes in the Dunes Société Générale car park in Fontenay-sous-Bois, his "Totem" culminating at 34 meters high painted on the tower of the CISP in Paris 12th district in 2017 or even "The three wise monkeys" carried out on a building in the city of Chauny in 2018 or at the end of 2020 the decoration of the interior and exterior of the Hotel Ibis style Paris Maine Montparnasse in the 14th arrondissement, district where Stoul grew up from 1986 to 2001.
