
Biography
Rosette Bir (April 9, 1926 - June 19, 1993) is a French sculptor, who practiced in Montreuil, in the Paris region.
She began to sculpt at the age of 42 when, after raising her children, she began an apprenticeship with the sculptor Albert Féraud. After her apprenticeship, she separated from the movement of her master since for her, geometric was perfection. She is therefore entirely devoted to it, following the MADI current, from South America, in the sculptural field.
His work is organized exclusively from the work of polished stainless steel. Her love for this material makes her transcend an astonishing creative will that will lead her, over time, through many progressive and innovative research. His work consists only of unique pieces. She has made sculptures of varying sizes, from the ashtray to the monumental sculpture several meters high.
His collection has toured the exhibitions, and his works have appeared in numerous articles in newspapers and magazines, specialized or not.
She died in 1993 following a car accident.
