Born in Colombia. His personal and artistic journey is closely linked to the conflicts that have taken place and which persist in the country. In addition, he is strongly linked to the identity of the city of Medellin, where he develops a social photographic project with disadvantaged and stigmatized communities, with independent, private or public structures of the city.
Generally speaking, he deals with subjects around the Mediterranean since he lives all year round in Marseille, France. He is influenced by the painter Edward Hopper, the photographers Elliot Herwitt, Martin Parr and Peter Lindghberg.
His work revolves around a socio-cultural and environmental axis, while bringing a “pop" touch to the world of travel, urban culture and youth. He also likes to add a flavor of irony, mixed with proven minimalism in his shots. He likes to reappropriate the social issues that make up our generation and deconstruct certain myths that the dictatorship of the image imposes in our collective thinking. He regularly collaborates in the fashion world in Marseille, he was invited to Milan Fashion Week in 2023.
Curated in 2019 by Klaus Fruchtnis, director of the photography department at the École supérieure d'art de Paris to represent Colombian artists living in France as part of the event. [Tiempo] from the Consulate of Colombia. He is also the grand prize winner of the OFF VISA pour l'Image festival in 2020. In 2023, a screening of one of his works is organized during the "Rencontres de Arles", at the Rivera Ortiz Foundation. It was also selected to exhibit by the Ministry of Culture at the Colombian consulate as part of the national day in memory and solidarity with the victims of armed conflicts.
