Biography
A graduate of the prestigious Penninghen school, Pascale Simon is passionate about the demands of drawing, and initially turned towards scientific illustration.
Then, the experience of living as an artist abroad opened up other perspectives: oil painting, sculpture, and always drawing. Drawing will remain the essential axis of her work, sublimated by the vivacity of oil painting, which enriches it with a more contemporary spirit; these two expressions, very present in the artist's work, give it its identity and its strength.
Today, Pascale Simon's works come together in a unique collection of more than a hundred paintings, oils on paper and wood: the 'Drôles d'oiseaux' series, 'Les anges', 'Les cieux', 'Les fleurs', 'Les chimères', 'Portraits d'hier', all reveal the talent of a singular artist.
