Biography
Nina Khemchyan is an Armenian artist, born in 1964.
Nina initially studied at the Beaux-Arts in Erevan. She then came to Paris and joined Ecole Nationale des Arts Appliqués to acquire more knowledge on the subject.
Since her graduation, Nina has been trying out a vast number of artistic techniques. Through these different practices, the artist wants to find a lyrical vision of her environment and the world in which we live.
Her art often has a "Mediterranean" inspiration. Her work indeed can be associated with the cultural and natural richness of her home land, though she draws inspiration from ancient cultures like Ancient Greece.
"Before any creation, I need to touch the ground, feel the dampness under my fingers, breathe in the humus", says Nina Khemchyan.
