Biography
Michèle Raymond studied sculpture at the National School of Fine Arts in Bourges, and since she has taken part in a number of art fairs, both in France and abroad. She takes as her subject the human body; statuettes dressed in large colourful garments and standing on pedestals have been sold through salons, shops and galleries. Alongside this work, she draws and models nude figures, playing with the anatomy of the body. Freed from figuration, she distorts and magnifies the proportions in order to create a sculpture of light and shadow.
