The sculpture of the rider embodies a fusion between the majestic strength of this animal and the timeless elegance of a chess piece. In choosing this subject, the artist captured the duality between the raw power and the characteristic finesse of the horse. The fluid lines of the sculpture express graceful movement, while subtle details, such as the mane, add a lively dimension to the work. The artist's inspiration is rooted in the balance between nature and the strategy of the game of chess. The nuances of each movement of the horse, ranging from tranquility to deployed power, are reflected in the artistic choices, creating a piece that transcends the simple decorative object to become a symbolic representation of life itself.
The emotions conveyed through this sculpture range from contemplation to admiration for ephemeral beauty. Arson's idea was to create a work that would invite reflection, prompting viewers to explore the complexity of existence through the eyes of a horse, while also hinting at the strategy and planning required in the game of chess.

Presentation
Born in Paris in 1953, the French Painter and Sculptor ARSON entered the Beaux-Arts at the age of 16, where he quickly abandoned architecture to devote himself to pottery. His days were then punctuated by the clay that he worked with taste and passion. It was sculpture that revealed him. If we had to describe this iconoclastic Artist in a few words, ARSON is an assertive, original style that stands out from the others, a strong personality, a presence!
He is a Painter-Sculptor apart who leaves his mark on you as much as his creations, original, disturbing, which invite us to analyze his work not on the surface but in depth. His work reflects the mirror of his soul.
He opened his first sculpture workshop in Provence in the 1970s, followed by Montcuq in the Lot, now in the Drôme Provençale.
Bold, transgressive, provocative, original, poetic, sincere, he is above all a passionate artist who encourages us to look at his works to discover the subliminal message aroused by his inspiration.
Just like humor, which we appreciate at first or second degree, Art requires several perspectives.
First there is the emotion of the Artist and then comes that of the observer. Each eye, each look is different… There is the emotional reaction that refers to the emotions that a work of Art will release. Then comes the reaction at the associative level that proceeds by association with the work of art or with images in the work. Finally, the reaction at the intellectual level allows for a formal analysis and interpretation of the work of Art.
These three types of reactions vary from person to person and from work to work. One person may have an immediate emotional reaction to a work while another will have a more intellectual analysis.
One work of art may require an emotional response while another will require a response at the associative level.
Arson is so talented that his works melt under prejudice. L'Esculmau was born from the ardent desire he has for the delicacies of Life.
An astonishing Contemporary Pop Art sculpture that exudes powerful symbolism, just like all his giant candies in acidulous colors. Much more than giant sculptures, they are a map of the tender, doubly delicious, doubly provocative, it is Arson's "Gourmet Art".
In each creation, he draws his inspiration from the destiny of women and their condition. Art brut, decorative art, ARSON's sculptures evolve according to the material that he models with passion and the very personal view that he brings to the world in which we live. ARSON's dexterity reflects an unequaled talent.
My personal analysis is similar to that of the Artist: “never stop at first glance".
His works, such as "l'Arbre à planches", "l'Atlas" and others, deliver messages that encourage us to reflect on the society around us, increasingly artificial, hyper-formatted. We must surpass ourselves every day to exist in the midst of an increasingly robotized universe. The originality of his Art will continue to fascinate us and make us dream. ARSON's talent is unpredictable, he creates without following any rules. He imposes his style.
His talent is not ordinary, he constantly creates novelty, he does not imitate anyone. In this ARSON is unique. In our eyes, he is a creative genius, thinker, dreamer!
